Robin was born and raised in small town East Millinocket, Maine, where she enjoys spending her days outdoors. She is an avid snowmobiler, taking trips all around Maine, loves to be at camp and spending all day in the water. She enjoys playing many co-ed sports leagues, and just all around enjoys life.
Robin currently works at Acadia Hospital as a Pharmacy Tech and a psych tech. Before employment there, she served 10 years in the United States Army, doing 1 tour in Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan in 2009. Robin in afganistan Upon coming home, she moved to North Carolina where she helped with family readiness for deployments on the Marine Corps base in Camp Lejeune. Between working as a family readiness officer and being at Acadia, she has truly found joy in being able to help other people and being part of a treatment team that truly helps them. She always says ‘When someone walks through the door here, we know they don’t necessarily WANT to be here, but they know they need the help. If today is the worst day of their life, I know I can be there to try and help guide them through it. To watch the transformation of day one, until the day they leave doing better and having a positive outlook… who feel ready to take on the world… that’s what matters to me.’
While Robin isn’t at work, you will find her having dance parties in her kitchen, doing homework, teaching ABC’s, watching cartoons, and playing house with her only child, Kennedi. Kennedi surely does keep her mom busy outside of work, but she wouldn’t change it for the world.
